Top Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Locations in Goa
(Beyond Aguada Fort & Fontainhas)

A pre-wedding shoot in Goa is one of the most enjoyable parts of getting married in Goa. It’s more laid-back; it’s a couple + photographer, and it produces images that are true to life: not stalker-style posed photos. Everyone knows about Aguada Fort and Fontainhas (and they’re lovely, of course), but Goa has plenty of places that are just as photogenic. We have shot pre-wedding sessions all over the state of Florida, and here is a high-level overview of our favorite spots at Big Monkey Productions.

Aguada Fort: The Classic Choice

There is no question that Aguada Fort is an interesting spot to visit not only because of its historic fort walls and lighthouse, but also because of the view of the ocean. This picturesque view is best captured early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Fontainhas: Old-World Charm

There is a plethora of vibrant Portuguese houses within the alleys of Fontainhas in Panjim. Strolling around in this place gives one the feeling as if they have stepped into a completely different country. The place is suitable for couples looking for an informal vibe.

Assagao’s Paddy Fields

If you like to be surrounded by greenery and open spaces rather than old structures, then Assagao should be an excellent place for you. Paddy fields in Assagao are simply marvelous during and after the rainy season, as everything appears to be fresh and green there.

Palolem and Arambol Beaches

A beach photography trip in places other than the crowded areas of North Goa would require going to South Goa. Palolem has tranquil water and is shaped like a curve, whereas Arambol has some cliffs and appears more rugged. Both offer beautiful sunsets for your photos.

Best Sunset Spots in Goa

If sunset photos are your priority, Chapora Fort, Vagator cliffs, and Arambol are some of the best spots to catch that golden sky over the sea. Timing is everything here; we always plan the shoot around the exact sunset time for that day to get the best light.

Picking the Right Spot for Your Story

It really comes down to where you feel like yourselves as a couple: a fort for the classic, a beach for the breezy, and even a village alleyway for the soulful. After you have decided where you would like to get married (check out our top places for wedding venues in Goa), we can recommend another location for your pre-wedding photoshoot close to that venue.
